Vietnamese Student Union at UCLA presents
46th Annual Vietnamese Culture Night
FREE EVENT
Sun., Jan 18 at 7PM

Vietnamese Culture Night is an annual student production held in Royce Hall that highlights different aspects of Vietnamese backgrounds, featuring performances by Vietnamese Traditional and Moditional Dance, Awechords Acapella, UCLA Lion Dance, and a student-written play. This production tells the stories of the Vietnamese community and culture, offering a window into the experiences that shape Vietnamese-Americans.

This year’s production will center on both the spoken and unspoken stories within our cultural memory. Drawing inspiration from the story of Lan và Điệp, we explore how love and loss shape the histories we inherit, and what happens when we give voice to what has long gone unsaid. This production examines how silence can both protect and burden, and how the act of listening and remembering can transform generations. By bridging past and present, this production invites the audience to reflect on their own family histories, untold stories, and consider what healing becomes possible when we finally ask, listen, and speak.
