The I-405 Pavement Rehabilitation Project consists of 20-25 extended partial weekend closures through the winter of 2028/2029, lasting approximately 55 hours from 10 p.m. Friday night to 5 a.m. Monday morning. During these closures, I-405 could be reduced to two or three lanes in either direction depending on the project’s needs. On- and off-ramps at Sunset Blvd, Wilshire Blvd, and Santa Monica Blvd may also be closed.

Although a schedule of closures is not currently available, we advise you to sign up for updates about the project to be notified about closure dates. More information is also available on the Caltrans website.

Due to decking removal at the future Westwood/UCLA D Line Station, Wilshire Blvd will be impacted over the course of 12 weekends. The first weekend closure begins on Friday, Oct. 31, at 11 p.m. and ends on Monday, Nov. 3, at 6 a.m. This work will require the closure of westbound Wilshire Blvd between Veteran Ave and Westwood Blvd, as well as the reduction of eastbound Wilshire to two lanes between Veteran Ave and Westwood Blvd. View Metro's construction notice to learn more.
